Rain, wind and a flash-freeze forecasted for Halifax

By Mark Hodgins

Another storm is expected late this week in Nova Scotia.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the entire province, calling for significant rain, wind and then a flash freeze.

The national forecaster says 25 to 50 mm of rain and wind gusting from 80 to 100 km/h is expected from tomorrow night through Friday evening.

The statement says some flooding is possible as the rain will be falling on frozen, snow-covered ground.

It's also expected we could see a flash-freeze on Friday as temperatures quickly plummet below zero.

Conditions are forecast to improve Friday evening.
