Regional Police arrest suspect after an attempted break in at a Halifax restaurant

Halifax Regional Police responded to the scene after callers reported two men trying to break into the Famous Curry Garden on Charles Street around 12:12 a.m. Tuesday morning.

When officers arrived, they found a suspect in a secure parking garage and took him into custody.

A second suspect, described as a woman wearing a black winter jacket and hat, fled the scene and despite a search by a police dog managed to get away.

A 63-year-old Halifax man will face charges of attempted break and enter and possession of break in instruments.
