Man arrested during alleged break-in at hardware store

By Meghan Groff

RCMP have arrested a man they allege was breaking into a Lower Sackville hardware store.

Mounties say they were called to an active break-and-enter at the Sackville Drive business at around 2:15 a.m. Friday.

Responding officers heard sounds coming from inside the lumber yard, so they climbed the fence and started searching.

They say they soon found a suspect hiding behind some merchandise.

He's since been released from custody on conditions and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date to face charges of break-and-enter, theft and mischief.
