Man charged in weekend stabbing

A 26-year-old has been charged in relation to a weekend stabbing.

Halifax Regional Police  were called to the south end of Brunswick Street just before 11 p.m. Saturday where they found a man with stab wounds.

The 24-year-old was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A suspect was arrested in the area.

Ronald Kevin Belong is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, possession of a dangerous weapon and resisting/obstructing police.
