Halifax Regional Police believe a man who died in north end Halifax Friday night was breaking into a home.

Officers were called to Robie Street north of Young just before 7 p.m., where they found a man who had been stabbed. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigators believe two men were committing a home invasion when they were confronted by a resident.

  • Break and enter to commit an indictable offence of assault with a weapon
  • Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace
  • Wearing a disguise
