Suspect sought after home invasion in Halifax

At 12:51 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a break-and-enter in progress in the 6200 block of North Street in Halifax.

The victim called the police and said they woke up after an unknown male entered the residence and started stealing some items. The male fled on foot after in an unknown direction. 

Officers and a police service dog searched the area but did not find the suspect.

No one was injured as a result of this incident, police say.

Police describe the suspect as follows:

  • unknown ethnicity
  • male with dark complexion 
  • 5’10” with slender build
  • wearing a long black jacket and hat
  • carrying a black bookbag
