Youth sprayed with sensory irritant in downtown Halifax

Halifax Regional Police are searching for three suspects after a youth was sprayed with a sensory irritant in downtown Halifax.

Police say the teen was walking on Duke Street when three men approached from behind and took a piece of clothing from his backpack.

That led to a fight where the victim was sprayed.

He was treated at the scene.

The three suspects are described as follows:

  1. White man, around 5'6″ with buzzed hair and a top bun.
  2. White man, around 6 feet tall with a slim build and medium brown hair.
  3. White man in his 30s with a medium to heavy build and dark hair pulled into a ponytail. He was wearing a baseball cap with black Puma logo, orange/red sweatshirt, black shorts, white socks, white flip flops.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 902-490-5016 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
