Islanders top Mooseheads 5-3

The Charlottetown Islanders picked up a 5-3 win over the Halifax Mooseheads Wednesday night at the Eastlink Centre.
Cedric Desruisseaux and Oscar Plandowski put the Islanders up 2-0 in the first period.
Markus Vidicek brought the Herd within one. Desruisseaux and Brett Budgell answered back.
Elliot Desnoyers later found the back of the Islanders' net.
Thomas Casey extended the Islanders' lead in the third period with Vidicek answering back with his second of the evening.
But it wasn't enough as the Islanders held on to win it 5-3.
The Mooseheads are back in the Scotiabank Centre on Friday when they welcome the Islanders.
