Mooseheads home opener postponed

By CityNews Halifax Staff

The Halifax Mooseheads home opener has been postponed.

The Herd were set to open up the 2022/2023 season against Charlottetown Friday night at the Scotiabank Centre, but with Hurricane Fiona approaching the region, the QMJHL has decided to delay the game.

Those with tickets will be able to use them for the rescheduled date, which hasn't yet been determined. If that doesn't work, contact Ticket Atlantic for a refund.

Saturday's road game in Charlottetown has also been pushed back to a later date.

The Mooseheads are now scheduled to play their first game of the season next Friday on September 30th in Cape Breton.

They'll also play the Screaming Eagles the next night for their first home game of the season on October 1.
