The Victoriaville Tigres handed the Halifax Mooseheads their first loss of the regular season, defeating the Herd 4-3 in overtime.

The opening frame saw Thomas Belgarde give Victoriaville a 1-0 lead near the midway point but Markus Vidicek evening things up late in the period to make it 1-1 after 20 minutes.

Dylan MacKinnon gave Halifax their first lead of the game early in the second period.

Vidicek added to their lead with his second of the night to make it 3-1 for the Herd after two periods.

But Victoriavill came back strong as Tommy Cormier and Loick Daigle tied things up early in the third period, forcing overtime where Maxime Pellerin netted the game winner for the Tigres.

The Mooseheads are back in action on Saturday when they visit the Charlottetown Islanders.
