Winter parking ban takes effect this weekend

HRM is reminding residents that the overnight winter parking ban in the urban core will start this Monday, December 14. That’s overnight Sunday.

The parking ban restricts on-street parking every night from 1 to 7 a.m.

Residents will be ticketed and fined $50 if paid within 60 days and it goes up to $83 after that.

HRM’s Urban Core includes Halifax, Timberlea, Bedford, Sackville, Fall
River, Beaverbank, Dartmouth, Cole Harbor, Westphal, and Eastern
Passage.
