Third wave of H1N1 may be averted

Fredericton, N.B. – The province’s chief medical officer of health says New Brunswick may not see a third wave of the H-1-N-1 flu.
Doctor Eilish Cleary says more than 62 per cent of the population has been vaccinated.
She says young children up to the age of nine tend to be the key spreaders of the
flu, and over 80 per cent of them have received the shot.
Cleary says there were seven H-1-N-1-related deaths in New Brunswick, but the vaccination program has saved thousands of lives across Canada.
Mass vaccination programs across the province will end Saturday.
