Ninety-nine-year-old Ron Hill passed away last night. He was two months shy of his 100th birthday.
Hill was seven years old when the explosion leveled much of North End Halifax and killed some 2000 people.
Hill’s family home had its windows and doors blown out, but his mother, father and brothers all survived.
