Police make arrests in shooting

Less than 12 hours after a broad daylight shooting in Halifax, police arrested two men in connection with it.
A 25-year-old and a 28-year-old were arrested on Owen Drive in Dartmouth Tuesday night. One was picked up in a vehicle and the other outside a nearby residence.
Both face attempted murder charges.
The arrests happen despite the lack of cooperation from the victim.
“We haven’t recieved any cooperation from anyone involved in the incident,” says Cst. Brian Palmeter with Halifax Police.
“But these charges are the result of very good and hard work from all of the officers involved.”
Palmeter says the actual shooting occured in a common area of a Bayers Rd. apartment building. He says motive is not known yet, but adds the two suspects and the victim are well known to police.
