Man greets police with loaded gun at downtown condo

Police are looking for several suspects in a mugging and a man is facing several firearms charges after a busy Monday night for police.
Police were called to a condo on Lower Water Street, between Salter and Morris, before 11 p.m., Monday.
A tenant refused police requests to turn down his music.
Sgt. Mark Hobeck tells News95.7 Halifax police asked the man inside, to open the door:
There was a short struggle with the male, but officers were able to disarm him and take him into custody,” said Hobeck. “He will be facing charges this (Tuesday) morning in relation to that gun.”
Police say the gun was loaded.
A little later in the night, police say a man and woman were walking on Evans Avenue at Titus, when a group of between 8 and 10 people approached them. Police say the man was hit with what is believed to be either a metal pole or a baseball bat.
Reports are, the group held him on the ground and punched and kicked him searching his pockets for cash.
The man was then forced to give his attackers his bank card and P.I.N. before they ran away.
