Stranded kitty back to ground, but adventure isn’t over yet

Shady the cat is back on solid ground Monday after the feline was stuck in a tree over the weekend.
Ben Perry, a Dartmouth resident, heard the story Monday on News 95.7 and called in his services.
“(He) called me early this afternoon, heard the news articles and said he’s done this a number of times and that he could help,” says city councillor for the area Barry Dalrymple.
Shady the cat was high in a Waverly tree since Friday, and had refused several efforts at a rescue.
“He kind of got up above the cat a little bit and when he got close to the cat, the cat actually jumped out of the tree,” says Dalrymple.
“We know it’s okay, it hit the ground and took off.”
Residents are now looking for the 1-year-old cat.
