Rainmen add players prior to home opener

The Halifax Rainmen have added three new players to their roster, and their expected to be in the lineup for the team’s Saturday home opener at Metro Centre.

Joining the Rainmen is 6-foot point guard, Antwan “Antifreeze” Dobie from Long Island University. The team also picked up a pair of centres with 6-foot-10 Marc Mazur from University of Detroit and 6-foot-8 DeAndre Thomas from Robert Morris College.

Dobie, Mazur and Thomas will replace replace Shagari Alleyne and Cory Underwood, who were both released earlier this week. The team is also missing Jevohn Shepherd, who is on the injured reserve list with a hamstring injury.
