Still no sentence in serial drunk driver case

It will be another two weeks before a serial drunk driver is sentenced.
The victims in a hit-and-run involving a serial drunk driver, read their victim impact statements in Dartmouth court Wednesday.
Jill McMillan addressed the court through a stream of tears and sobs. The teen was in the car when it and her father were sideswiped at the Enfield exit on Highway 102.
She says she knows she almost lost her dad.
Her mother, Julie, told the court also through tears that she had visions of seeing her husband hit and nightmares of her daughter hurt.
Terry Naugle pleaded guilty to three of the four charges against him after the car he was driving swiped MacMillan’s.
The crown described Naugle as the worst kind of drunk driver who should be given the maximum sentence to maintain public safety.
The prosecution has asked for 10 months in a federal penitentiary, minus the 10 months served under remand as well as other restrictions.
Meanwhile the defense is asking for something closer to four years.
Naugle was due to be sentenced Wednesday, but was moved to February 12.
