Second-degree murder charges in North Preston death

Police have laid a charge in Sunday’s murder in North Preston.

A suspect turned himself in Tuesday at police headquarters for questioning in the death of Casey Marleen Downey.

Police tell News957 a charge of second-degree murder is being filed against 24-year-old Max Demarco Smith.

Police are still holding the murder scene on Downey Road in North Preston as the investigation continues.
