Looming storm system prompts weather warnings for N.S.

Environment Canada has issued a severe weather bulletin for Nova Scotia and snowfall warnings for most parts of the mainland, thanks to a low pressure system moving in tonight.
News 95.7 meterologist Richard Zurawski says anywhere from 15 to 25 centimetres of snow will fall on the province starting late tonight.
He says here in metro, we’re in for at least 15 centimetres of something – though it’s not clear what.
“The big question at this time of year is how much rain, how much snow,” he said. “The temperature will be getting above the freezing mark by a couple of degrees, so some of it could be coming down in the form of wet snow or rain.”
Zurawski says the snow will start late tonight and warns drivers will likely need some extra time for tomorrow’s morning commute.
The snowfall warnings suggest areas from Digby County to Pictou County and everywhere northwest of that line could get as much as 20cm. Coastal areas will see closer to 10-15 cm before the precipitation tapers off tomorrow.
