Province working on coyote plan

A natural resources official says the department is trying to develop a plan to deal with aggressive coyotes.
Wildlife technician Jenny Costello tells the Herald they are getting more calls about coyotes, but says that might be related to the death of a young woman on a Cape Breton trail last October.
There have been coyote sightings at some Spryfield and Bedford schools recently, plus another sighting near William King Elementary in Herring Cove on Feb. 8.
In Cape Breton, coyotes are now suspected in an attack that killed a family dog in Wagmatcook.
Officials believe the animals surrounded a little girl and the family dog was killed trying to fend off the other animals.
