Crack cocaine seized following shooting

Halifax police are searching for a suspect in connection with a shooting last night in the city’s north end.
Sgt. Derrick Boyd tells us police responded to Richmond Street just after 11 o’clock after a 911 hang up call.
“Upon arriving on scene police could see and smell some burnt gunpowder,” he said. “They did locate a bullet hole in an apartment door.”
Two people were inside the apartment at the time, and were not injured.
Police seized what’s believed to be crack cocaine from the residence, and say it’s not believed to be a random shooting.
Video surveillance shows the suspect being a black man between 20-30 years of age, with a black baseball hat and a black leather jacket.
