Big blow leaves HRM with a mess to clean up

It looks like the worst of the storm is over.
Winds reached 104 kilometers an hour in Halifax, and a lot of people have some serious cleaning up to do.
Some of the worst damage was felt in Halifax’s downtown core where a traffic light post was toppled at the corner of Spring Garden Road and Summer Street, closing down the busy commercial street for several hours.
Meanwhile, scaffolding blowing loose from the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia forced the closure of a section of George and Hollis for a period.
Residents of an apartment building in Fairview watched a section of their roof blow off only to come crashing down on several cars in the parking lot.
Another major artery in HRM was shut down after a section of roof came off the Old Mill Tavern in Dartmouth forcing the closure of Wyse Road for part of the evening.
At one point more than 30,000 people were without power.
Despite all the property damage there were no injuries reported.
