Cross-burning suspects will have bail hearing today

A bail hearing will take place in a Windsor courtroom today for the two young men accused of a cross burning in Hants County.
The court appearance follows a large march over the weekend in support for the victims.
Brothers Nathan Neil Rehberg, 20, and Justin Chad Rehberg, 19, both of Avondale will request bail later today.
The two are charged with public incitement of hatred, uttering threats, and mischief.
Last Sunday an interracial couple awoke in the middle of the night to a seven-foot-high cross burning in front of their Poplar Grove home, as suspects yelled racial slurs.
Victim Michelle Lyon says she prays the accused won’t get bail.
“This shouldn’t be taken lightly by any court system or any person individually,” she said. “It’s stricken us with terror, sadness, just a whole bunch of emotion and fear mixed all in one.”
On Saturday, over 200 people marched through the streets of Windsor to show support to the couple.
Lyon says it was a great gesture.
“It was heart-warming, it was touching, it was an emotional time for the both of us.” said Lyon.
Supporters are expected to be at the court appearance this morning.
