Bail hearing to resume for cross-burning suspects

The brothers charged in the Hants County cross burning will return to court today, a day after their bail hearing was adjourned.
Supporters are expected to be at the Windsor courthouse for the accused and the victims.
Nathan Neil Rehberg, 20, and Justin Chad Rehberg, 19, are charged with public incitement of hatred, uttering threats, mischief and face a new charge of criminal harassment.
At Monday’s court appearance, several family members and friends were there to support the brothers.
Support was also strong for victims Michelle Lyon and Shayne Howe.
Lyon says even with the support, they’re still considering moving to a different community.
“We love our community, but safety has to come first because we do have children.” said Lyon.
Tracy States-Barker was there to support the couple, and hopes they don’t leave.
“I really hope they don’t,” she said. “This is not our community at all, our community’s not really like this.”
Lyon and Howe and other supporters were wearing blue ribbons with different colored hearts.
The ribbons were made by their children and represent unity, love and acceptance.
