Dry, warm Spring on the way: Environment Canada

Environment Canada has released its forecast for Spring and it looks like your umbrella will get a rest.

“We’re expecting lower than normal precipitation amounts,” says News 95.7 meteorologist Richard Zurawski. “And the temperatures are probably going to be warmer than normal over the next three months.”

He says this March, April and May will be a little different than the sogginess last year — a welcome change for farmers.

“The forecast for this Spring is actually kind of the ideal scenario if it plays out like projected,” says Richard Melvin, president of the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture.

No details have been released on exactly how warm or dry it’ll be, but it’s not looking like anything drastic.
