Murdered couple mourned by bikers

Bikers from across the Maritimes and Ontario attended the funeral of a Barr Settlement couple murdered in their home last week.

Rustie and Ellen Hall were found dead in their home last Friday morning.

R.C.M.P. confirmed Hall was a member of the Bacchus motorcycle club, which has ties to the Hell’s Angels, but police wouldn’t say if the couple’s murder was connected to biker gang violence.

The Chronicle-Herald reports musical selection for the funeral included
Freebird by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

The paper also says fellow Bacchus member Paul Fowler spoke about the couple’s love for their grandchildren, and motorcycling. He then concluded with these words: “Bacchus forever, forever Bacchus”.
