Man recovering after dog attack at SPCA shelter

A pest control technician is recovering from injuries to his hand and leg after he was attacked by a dog at the SPCA shelter in Dartmouth.
The Herald reports the technician went into a back area Monday without an escort and a dog that was out of its kennel bit the man in the hand and leg.
SPCA Executive Director Kristin Williams stressed the pooch involved was not Brindi the dog.
The particular animal is a female mixed-breed that’s been in the shelter since last August.
Williams says it was an isolated incident, and they hope the technician has a quick recovery
The dog is back in quarantine for now.
