Bail decision for co-accused in Horne murder delayed

The woman co-accused in the murder of Jennifer Horne is still in jail for at least another week.
Twenty-two-year-old Ashley Haley is applying for release under the adult bail supervision program, however the judge delayed his decision until next week.
Haley faces a first-degree murder charge in relation to the death of 20-year-old Jennifer Horne.
Horne’s body was found on New Year’s Eve in 2007, rolled up in a carpet and stuffed in a closet in Haley’s Dartmouth apartment that she shared with her co-accused 38-year-old Desmond Maguire.
A member of Horne’s family says they were hoping, but not expecting a decision today.
“The one thing that I suppose if there’s optimism, would be that she’s still in jail,” says Jeanne Rockosh.
Haley is remanded in custody until her next court appearance, which is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday.
Desmond Maguire, 39, is also charged with first-degree murder.
