The return of winter: weather pulls a complete about-face

The weather’s about to exhibit some unseasonal behaviour again – but unlike last week, it will be unseasonably cold.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement about a cold front about to sweep across Nova Scotia.
News 95.7 meterologist Richard Zurawski says that means a giant step back, weather-wise.
“By tomorrow morning, we’re goign to feel like we’re back officially into January and February,” he said. “We’ve got two to five centimetres of snow coming down, temepratures are going to fall this afternoon and the winds will be picking up to 60 kilometres an hour.”
Zurawski says the temperatures will revert to seasonal norms, but not for a few days.
“Normal really isn’t going to happen until sometime around Monday when we get cloud and showers and temperatures rising to six or seven degrees,” he said. “Things will clear up overnight, the wind’s going to die down, but it’s going to be sunny and cold for the most part on the weekend.”
The Environment Canada statement warns that with temperatures plummeting through the day, commuters should anticipate winter driving conditions for the drive home tonight.
