Women still won’t let guard down

Not all residents in Halifax’s south end are sleeping better knowing an arrest has been made in connection with a string of flashing incidents in the area.

Heather says it’s good to have made an arrest, but it doesn’t stop anyone else from doing the same.

“I think it’s that time of the year where general outdoor crime and harassment picks up,” she said.

But some are releaved, like Samantha.

“Just walking to my boyfriends house at night makes me really skittish and coming home from school at night too,” she said. “So yeah, I’ll definitely sleep safer tonight.”

Police arrested a 26-year old man Friday night after a woman says a man exposed himself near Quinpool Road.

The man faces a charge of performing an indecent act for that incident, and faces six additional charges for similar acts throughout the month of march.

He’s been released to appear in court at a later date.
