Investigation into Uniacke Square gunplay stalls

Regional police say neither the victims or witnesses of two shootings in Uniacke Square are cooperating.

Two men in their 20’s were shot Friday night and at least five more shots were reported Saturday night around 10.

Staff Sergeant Darrell Gaudet tells Metro News, investigators have a “strong idea” about who fired the shots – but can’t make any arrests, because of the lack of cooperation.

Also Saturday a Bedford man was stabbed in the stomach and seriously injured.

Gaudet says it happened during some kind of dispute around 11 p.m. on Union Street.

Police are still investigating and there have been no arrests yet.
