Police make arrest in summer bank robberies

Police nabbed a suspect in two bank robberies in Halifax last summer and they knew exactly how to find their man.

The first robbery was August 26 when a man wearing a bandanna entered the Royal Bank on Quinpool Road and made away with a grocery bag full of cash. Six days later the Scotiabank on Sackville Drive was robbed.

Police connected the two robberies and went to the Atlantic Institution maximum security prison in Renouse where they arrested their suspect as he was being released for an unrelated crime.

Morris James Lanceleve, 26, is facing charges of robbery.
