Teens behaving badly: police arrest two after separate incidents

Two teens are facing assault charges following separate incidents in Dartmouth overnight.
Police arrested a 14-year-old boy after three teens got into a fight on Tacoma Drive around 5:25 p.m. Saturday. A nearby security guard intervened when one of the kids started swinging a knife, and held onto the boy until officers arrived.
Police say the three boys knew each other, and none were hurt.
The 14-year-old is facing charges of assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon and uttering threats.
At 9:15 p.m., police say two teenaged girls met up with two boys on Alderney Drive. They were all sharing a cigarette when one of the boys pulled out some bear spray and sprayed it all over the girls before running away.
Police found and arrested a 15-year-old boy soon afterwards, who is now facing charges of assault with a weapon and possession of a dangerous weapon.
The girls weren’t seriously hurt.
