Former hoops star wants flashing case relocated

A former basketball star at St. Francis Xavier University now charged in connection with seven flashing incidents in Halifax wants his case moved.

Neil MacDonald, 26, didn’t appear in court Tuesday for his arraignment, but Metro News reports the Crown has been told his defence is trying to transfer the case to Sydney.

MacDonald, who lives in Halifax but is originally from Sydney Mines, faces seven counts of committing an indecent act after a number of incidents centred around the Dalhousie campus.

His case has been put over until June 14.
