Weather gods are smiling: long weekend forecast looks spectacular!

It’s the perfect recipe for a perfect long weekend: gas prices have gone down, and temperatures are going up!
The forecast for Nova Scotia and most of the country shows nothing but sunshine and balmy temperatures above seasonal norms.
Meterologist Richard Zurawski you couldn’t ask for much more.
“To get a weekend like this with non-stop sunshine, temperatures approaching the mid-20s and by Monday, I suspect it might be as high as 27 degrees, it’s going to feel like summertime out there,” he said. “The leaves are out, the birds are out, it’s going to be beautiful.”
Zurawski says this kind of weather is unusual for the time of year, so it’s important for everyone to remember their sun safety.
“We’re not used to the sunshine, so make sure you’ve got a cover-up or good sunblock on,” he said. “Of course, the sun is strongest between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., so avoid the direct sunlight. This is early, early, early in the season.
Zurawski notes that hot, dry weather also poses a significant fire risk, so anyone planning an open-air campfire should take extreme care, or just call it off altogether.
