Binge drinking can damage memories: researchers

Drinking large amounts in a short period of time can damage the part of the teenage brain that deals with the memory.

According to California researchers, binge drinkers produce fewer brain cells.

Moreover, it’s possible adolescent heavy drinkers could grow into forgetful, absent minded adults.

The study has been published in the journal proceedings of “The National Academy of Sciences”.

At the same time, a survey taken in the county of Riverside, California, suggests that kids as young as 11 are drinking alcohol.
