Police seize another taser

Police say it’s a sign that criminals in Metro are turning to Tasers for protection.

Staff Sgt. Darrel Gaudet tells News 95.7 the police busted a 23-year old woman Wednesday night for allegedly selling cocaine downtown. But he says, the arresting officers also found she was carrying a Taser.

Gaudet says his best guess is the stun gun weapons are coming into Nova Scotia through the United States.

The arrest was made on South Park St. around 9 p.m. In all, the Taser and 40 grams of cocaine were seized.
