Police apprehend habitual drunk driver

Police say they arrested and charged a Halifax man for drunk driving for the third time in less than a month.

They allege 51-year-old Steven Donald Crain was caught driving drunk Wednesday night, on the evening of May 21 and on the evening of May 16.

In all three cases, the man, who was driving a Chevy Impala blew above the legal alcohol limit. In all three cases he was on the Hammonds Plains Road.

Crain is in custody facing charges of impaired operation of a motor vehicle, having a blood alcohol level of over 0.08 and breaching recognizance.
