N.S. gas prices take surprise jump

Gas prices have gone up today by a fair bit more than predicted.

The UARB has hiked the price by 2.9 cents a litre to a new posted price in metro of $1.03.6 in metro.

Diesel prices also went up by almost two cents to 99.8.

In New Brunswick, regulated prices went up by just a penny this week.

Gas in Halifax is now almost six cents a litre more expensive than in Saint John – but roughly six cents less than it was a year ago.
