Nova Scotia Power is hoping a little extra incentive might help people in the province decide to get rid of their old appliances.
The power company has launched what it calls the “Pull the Plug” pilot program.
For getting rid of an old power-sucking fridge or freezer NSP will pay you $35 dollars. Old dehumidifiers will get you $10 each.
A professional contractor will remove and recycle the items free of charge.
The deal runs from now until August 21st.
