Record crowds flock to waterfront for Multicultural Festival

Record crowds visited the Multicultural Festival at its new home this weekend.

The annual festival moved from Alderney Landing in Dartmouth to the Halifax waterfront this year.

Organizers say the place was packed.

Now that it’s over, Heather Ritchie tells Metro News officials will decide whether to make the relocation permanent.

She says that will be based on more than just crowd numbers, saying the festival has to work for everybody.
