Regis Philbin excited to visit Maritimes

Television icon Regis Philbin says he’s excited about Friday’s appearance at Casino New Brunswick in Moncton.
Today on Maritime Morning, Regis told Andrew Krystal, wife Joy Philbin will join him and a 22-piece orchestra from Symphony New Brunswick for the show.
Along with singing and dancing, Regis said there will be some old fashioned ‘clean’ comedy.
“Today’s young people rely on the F-word more than anything else to get their point across and to get a laugh,” he said. “It’s a cheap laugh. In the old days those guys relied on laying the brickwork, even if it was just one straight line leading into the funny line.”
Regis will be traveling to Charlottetown next week to host Live with Regis and Kelly Monday through Thursday from the Island capital.
Among those appearing during the week will be musical guests Lady Antebellum and 24 star Elisha Cuthbert.
