Regis and Kelly go live from Charlottetown

Rain and grey skies are doing nothing to dampen the spirits of Regis and Kelly fans who lined up by the thousands on the Charlottetown waterfront this morning.

“Live! with Regis and Kelly” will broadcast from Charlottetown’s Confederation Park today and tomorrow.

Both talk show hosts remarked on the warm welcome they received since their arrival in the Maritimes.

Regis was particularly impressed with the media coverage his Friday night show at Casino NB received in the Moncton paper.

The PEI and federal governments spent one million dollars to bring the show to the island.

Organizers insist it’s money well spent on advertising since the show draws more than three million viewers a day.
