Tropical Storm Danielle could hit the Maritimes

A weather system is churning in the Atlantic Ocean and it could be our region’s first major brush with fantastic weather this season. News 95.7’s meterologist Richard Zurawski says Danielle is at least four days away, but she has the potential to gain a lot of strength between now and then.

Right now, Zurawski says we are in the ‘heads up’ stage, where weather officials are monitoring the situation closely.  He admits there are a lot of factors that could affect the trajectory of the storm.

Zurawski says Danielle is blowing winds up to 100 kilometers an hour and some of the upper winds are pushing it north west.  If that happens, he says there will be a better picture of where the storm is heading in the next 24 to 48 hours.
