RCMP are investigating an incident in Eastern Passage Wednesday evening in which a teenaged girl says she was grabbed by a stranger.
The girl was walking home in the area of Cow Bay Road and Caldwell Road around 6 p.m. Wednesday near a local graveyard.
She says a man grabbed her by the arm and told her to come with him. She kicked him, ran home, and called police.
RCMP spokeswoman Tamu Bracken says the girl gave a description.
“The man was described as a black male, 5’9″, approximately 200 pounds, wearing black clothes, glove, had crooked teeth,” says Bracken. “He was approximately 35 years old.”
Last Friday, a 24-year-old woman walking her dog near Lilac and Lyon Streets in Dartmouth was grabbed. A man tried to pull her into a vehicle.
Police did charge a 30 year old North Preston man in that case. He was released earlier this week.
