Halifax police are investigating an attempted firebombing in the city’s north end.

It happened last night on Sunrise Walk in the Uniacke Square area around 7:20.

Fire crews called in police, and it was discovered the source of a small fire in the vacant building was a device containing an accelerant.

The flames were quickly doused with a fire extinguisher.

Two other similar devices were thrown into the building but failed to ignite.
