Brindi’s owner claiming eviction was illegal

The owner of HRM’s most infamous dog is now claiming she was illegally evicted from her home.

Francesca Rogier left her East Chezzetcook home Friday because city engineers declared it unsafe.

However, in an email to the mayor, Rogier says the heritage house – which is undergoing extensive renovations – had heat and running water.

She claims HRM officials damaged her water heater immediately after she left – which made the home uninhabitable.

She’s demanding repairs and also demanding that the city let her back into the house and stop “harassing” her.

Earlier reports suggested Rogier’s cat had been left behind when she vacated the property, but an update reveals Rogier has been reunited with the animal.

Rogier spent two years fighting the city for custody of her dog Brindi, which was seized and ordered destroyed for attacking other dogs.

Brindi was returned to Rogier in July but seized again in September after another altercation with a neighbour’s dog.
