Three teens facing arson, conspiracy charges after major fire in Cole Harbour

Charges are being laid after a fire ripped through the former Halifax Rehabilitation Centre on the weekend.  RCMP Cpl. Scott Macrae tells News 95.7 three 14 year-old boys are charged with arson and conspiracy.

He says police saw three kids running from the scene Saturday afternoon, shortly after the call came in and those are the same kids who were ultimately arrested for the crime.

“It’s the same three youths that were arrested close by the facility.  And the three youths will be appearing in Halifax Provincial Youth Court to answer to those charges, ” he says.

A court date is set for December 16th.

What is left of the building will be razed.  It was often used for tapings of the famed Canadian comedy, The Trailer Park Boys.
