Two weeks after a van hit a boy playing street hockey in Dartmouth, police are charging a driver.
The 11 year old boy was hurt when the van struck him on Irving Street on November 29th.
Officers said at the time that they weren’t sure the driver even knew he hit someone.
Monday, Halifax Regional Police said their Accident Investigation Unit has done its work, and a 49 year old North Preston man has been issued two Summary Offence tickets: one for leaving the scene of an accident, and the other for failing to render reasonable assistance to a person injured in an accident.
The man is due in court on February 16.
